What is DermSTAT™?
DermSTAT™ panels are diagnostic skin tests that use PCR to detect causative agents of skin infections, with next day results. Each panel was specially developed for clinicians to address their differential diagnostic considerations. There are currently five different panels that differentiate important microbial agents causing skin infections. The tests use real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technology. Based on years of research and experience in PCR-based testing, DermSTAT™ panels deliver rapid and accurate results to enable your practice to provide the best patient care.
When should you use DermSTAT™?
While clinical diagnosis may be correct, many skin infections have similar presentations. Misdiagnosis often leads to treatment failures, unnecessary prescriptions with possible side effects, and delays in accurate therapy. Order a DermSTAT™ test to ensure fast, definitive diagnosis, effective initial therapy, and increased patient satisfaction.
What are the advantages DermSTAT™ offers my practice?
DermSTAT™ optimizes your practice with faster turnaround time (next-day results), higher accuracy, and definitive diagnosis. This allows for effective initial therapy and quicker patient management. Additionally, eliminating conventional, low accuracy testing in-house gives you and your team more time to focus on patient care.
