Dr. Philippa Li joined StrataDx immediately following fellowship training and has been enjoying her time in New England. She has previously published on an array of topics including molecular characterization of dermal tumors. She currently enjoys her free time antiquing and hiking, even in the cold.

Associate Dermatopathologist

Dr. Cespedes is a board certified physician in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology. Dr. Cespedes graduated medical school at San Marcos University in Lima, Peru. Dr. Cespedes completed a five year residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Washington Hospital Center, Washington D.C. and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, where she also served as chief resident. Posteriorly, Dr. Cespedes became a Dermatopathology fellow at the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology, University of Miami School of Medicine.

Dr. Cespedes has been in practice for over 20 years working in national leading laboratories in the Dermatopathology field including: Cleveland Clinic in Florida, Labcorp, Aurora Diagnostics and Sonic Health Care. Dr. Cespedes’ dermatopathology expertise has been an asset in the correlation between the clinical findings observed in patients at the time of their evaluation and the histologic findings observed in their skin biopsies under the microscope.

Dr. Cespedes has served as a faculty member of the International Society of Dermatopathology and recently joined StrataDx to serve as an expert in Digital Dermatopathology.

Dr. Cespedes loves traveling with her family and she finds joy being a board member of the Peruvian American Medical Society (PAMS), a humanistic organization that focuses on providing human and material resources that reach remote, medically-undeserved communities of Peru.

Medical Director

Dr. Rosenthal received his undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from the University of Pennsylvania prior to receiving a pre-medical post-baccalaureate certificate from Colombia University. He completed his medical degree and residency at Albany Medical college in New York, and both Surgical Pathology and Dermatopathology fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Seth Rosenthal’s primary areas of interest are melanoma, adnexal tumors, and mycosis fungoides. He served on the faculty of Tufts University School of Medicine from (2007-2018).

Seth has published numerous articles in leading peer-reviewed journals on a variety or topics in pathology, including Cancer, American Journal of Dermatopathology, Modern Pathology, Journal of Cutaneous Pathology and Journal of Drugs and Dermatology. He was also owner and director of Skin Path Services, LLC in Tampa, FL,  prior to relocating to the Boston area.

Senior Dermatopathology Consultant

Dr. Lisa Cohen received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1989. She completed an internship at Boston University Medical Center followed by a residency in dermatology at the University of Louisville and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Colorado. Lisa served on the faculty at several prestigious universities including Harvard Medical School, Tufts University School of Medicine and Boston University School of Medicine. She earned numerous honors and awards from the World Congress of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society and other organizations. Lisa published many articles in leading peer review publications and lectured extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Lisa served as Secretary, Vice President, President and Advisory Board Member for the New England Dermatological Society and was the founder and president of Cohen Dermatopathology, P.C.
